First, here's the links to some very helpful things you need to check out:
Basic Rules
In-Game Rules
Application Template
Questions, Suggestions, and Comments.

So, the first thing you need to do is check out those links, and then probably read the other sections here in this forum. Once you get a feel of how the site works and what you can and cannot do, you should start thinking of a character. I highly recommend coming up with a character before you even open up the application template. It makes things go so much smoother when you actually start typing it down. Here's some key things you need to think of, because they will be judged the most when you make your sheet:
  • Your History
  • Your Personality

Now you need to decide what your Starter Pokemon will be. You can pick from any of the Pokemon on the Commons list, or you can choose to have a generic starter (such as Charmander, Snivy, or Mudkip.) If that's the case, you cannot literally start out with the Pokemon. You have to go to the Pokemon lab and receive a Starter from the professor.

Anyone who visits the professor (regardless if they are getting their starter or not) will receive a Starter's Kit, which includes: A Pokedex, five pokeballs, and two Full Heals.

Okay , so after you get your Character approved you'll need to set up your PC, which can be found under the Accepted Characters forum. There's no set template for this, because your PC can be set up however you like, as long as you tell us what Pokemon are in your party and what Pokemon are in your PC. You can include any other extra information if you like.

Now that you have everything set up, you can begin your journey. All members start out in the same town, which is the first forum in the Shikoku section.
