Gyms and Contests

Gyms

Each town has one Gym which is led by a Gym Leader. The Gym leader will specialize in a specific type of Pokemon and is the strongest Trainer in the town. Seeing as how Trainers start out in different towns, the Gym leader system is altered from the Game system. Normally, each Gym leader would have a set level for their team, but we have changed that to make this forum more fair. The Gym leader's level set will be determined by how many gym badges you have.

0 Badges- Level 7-11
1 Badge- Level 15-20
2 Badges- Level 23-27
3 Badges- Level 30-34
4 Badges- Level 37-40
5 Badges- Level 41-43
6 Badges- Level 44-47
7 Badges- Level 47-50

Contests

PART 1: Joining a Contest

Contests will be held on set days. Each contest will be held on the first Friday of every month. To join the contest, PM a Mod and they will put you in the pool of people joining. The contest will be held in one town, which will be randomly chosen. Your character must get to the town before the contest begins in order to participate.

PART 2: Round 1
The Performance

A Mod will make a Topic to Rp on. You will be announced by MC. The presenter of all the contests. The judges will be:
1) Nurse Joy (played by a mod)
2) (Gym Leader of the town you are in.) (Played by a other mod)
3) The current Pokemon Champion.

At the beginning you will be given a number which says when it's your turn. When it's your turn you will be announced by the MC. When she is done the round begins.

Capsules:
You can choose to put on a Ball Capsule or not. If you do put on a Capsule, its highly recommended that you put on one that suits your Pokemon. If it does not match your Pokemon you may lose points.

Performance:
In round 1 you use attacks to show off your Pokemon. Then all 3 judges give you points from 1 to 10. The 2 people with the lowest score are eliminated.

PART 3: Round 2.
The Battle

The people that went through to the next round will have to battle against each other. The people who go against each other shall be totally random. If one player's Pokémon faints the battle ends immediately and the other player is the victor. Like in the anime you have a meter. But in this case you have 100 points. When both people that posted in the RP the Gym Leader, Nurse Joy and Champion will say who lost points and how many. When the meter hits zero, the other player is the victor.

PART 4: The Ribbon

When a winner is chosen he/she will be awarded the city's Ribbon. He/she will also be granted some cash. The better you preformed overall the more you get. The highest you can get is $3000
